The XXVth Ohio State-Denison Mathematics Conference

May 18-21, 2000 Ohio State University (Columbus)

As in past conferences, there will be sessions in Combinatorics, Group Theory, and Ring Theory at the Ohio State-Denison Mathematics Conference. The Group Theory and Ring Theory programs will be held as usual over three days, from Friday, May 19 to Sunday, May 21. However, in conjunction with a special recognition of Professor Dijen Ray-Chaudhuri near his 65th birthday, the Combinatorics program will start earlier and be held over four days,from Thursday, May 18 to Sunday, May 21.

All conference lectures will be in rooms that are close to the Mathematics Tower.

Special lectures in Combinatorics:

These lectures will be scheduled for the afternoon Friday, May 19, morning and afternoon Saturday, May 20, and morning Sunday, May 21. Invited speakers for these lectures are former students of Professor Ray-Chaudhuri or other mathematicians that have strong personal and professional ties with him. They will give 40-minute invited lectures on a topic of great interest to him within coding theory, design theory, finite geometries, and combinatorial inequalities.
