A Note on Joint
Presentation:
In cases where students are collaborating on the
same project we sometimes agree to fund two students sharing the same
presentation (talk or poster). However, we will not be able to give funding to
three or more students joining in the same presentation. In other
words, the general rule is that every funded student must be responsible for at least 50% of a
presentation, whether it is a talk or a poster.
If you wish to share your presentation with one other student
you have to indicate so in the confirmation form and enter the name of
that student.
You must make sure that the student you share a presentation
with will also enter your name in the respective field of his/her
form.
Un- or mismatched requests for joint presentations will be
ignored.
It is up to you
how you will split up tasks during the presentation. Both presenters
will be listed in the program. Further (unfunded) collaborators may be
added in parentheses the program listing upon request.
If there
are more than two students in your collaboration who
wish to attend the conference you have the following options:
- Have the third (or fourth) student
give another separate talk. The second talk should be on a different
aspects of your work. This needs to be
indicated in a different title and different abstracts submitted in the
confirmation form.
- Have the third (or fourth)
student supplement the talk on your work by a poster
presentation;
vice-versa. As before, title and abstract should be different.
- Have the third (or fourth)
student attend
the conference without funding.
