Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to announce that the winners of this year's Mathematics Department GTA Teaching Excellence Awards are:

Anne Herbig
Vlad Sachelarie
Richard Uchida

The winners will receive a certificate of recognition and a $750 award.

There were a number of excellent nominees and I know that the Graduate Studies Committee was quite impressed by the quality of teaching of all the nominees which made the final decisions so difficult. But Anne, Vlad and Richard's teaching stood out as particularly fine and deserving of recognition.

I'd like to thank the staff and members of the GSC for their hard work in the selection process and let us all congratulate the winners once again!
