Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am very pleased to announce that the winners of this year's GTA Teaching Excellence Award are:

Adam Avilez
Lauren Kennell
Matt McMullen

The winners will receive a certificate of recognition and a $750 award.

I know the GSC deliberated long and hard to determine the winners and it was a close call, given the very high level of teaching done by our best GTAs. The extraordinary time and energy that Adam, Lauren and Matt put into their teaching and the deliberate efforts they make to connect with their students are characteristic of the best of our teaching assistants.

I'd like to thank the staff and members of the GSC for their hard work in the selection process and let us all congratulate the winners once again!
