Fei-Ran Tian named 2003 John Simon Guggenheim Fellow

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am pleased to inform you that Fei-Ran Tian has been named a 2003 John Simon Guggenheim Fellow in support of his research in nonlinear dispersive oscillations.

Each year the Guggenheim Foundation receives 3,000-3,500 applications from all areas of the arts and sciences and makes about 200 awards to "men and women who have already demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability..."
