Using Putty for Windows

1. Click on Start --> Run --> type in a:\ssh.bat (that is if your floppy drive is a:\) then click on OK or press Enter to start the program which will connect you to math.ohio-stat.edu

3. If this is your first time connecting to this machine a Putty Security Alert will appear asking you if you trust this Host. If you do click on yes to continue, otherwise click on No to disconnect.

   

4. Type in your username and press enter

   

5. Type in your password and press enter. (Note: nothing will appear as you type in your password)

   

Congratulations now you should be connected to a remote host using Putty.
