Career Services

Students typically have many questions about career options and what they will do after completing their degree(s). These questions include:
~ What type of work will I find enjoyable?
~ What can I do to maximize my odds of getting a good job?
~ How do I find employers who hire within my degree field?

There are three primary resources on campus to assist you with these and other career related questions:
Career Connection [1] (Younkin Success Center; 688-3898)

Available to undergraduate and graduate students, this office provides career counseling and related services to help you decide upon a career direction. Once you have established such a focus, the Career Services Office and MAPS resource can “bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world” by helping you to connect with employers.
Arts and Sciences Career Services Office [2] (48 Townshend Hall, 1885 Neil Avenue, (614) 292-7055, fax: (614) 688-3036, asccareer@osu.edu [3])

Available to undergraduate students – including those in the College of Mathematical & Physical Sciences (MAPS), this office provides:
To start the process of engaging with prospective employers, for either internships or entry-level (after graduation) employment, stop by 48 Townshend Hall to register for FutureLink [4].


MPS Professional Experience Program

See Cynthia Applin Thomas in Career Services, 260 Jennings Hall, 1735 Neil Ave.  Walk-in hours are MWF 3:00-4:30 p.m. Other hours by appointment at 292-1174 or cthomas@asc.ohio-state.edu [4].
