Bora Bosna wins the Graduate Associate Teaching Award
Bora Bosna was surprised today when a large group of representatives from the Graduate School and the Department of Mathematics entered his multivariable calculus class this morning, April 12, 2012.
Patrick Osmer, Vice-Provost and Dean of the Graduate School, presented Bora with the distinguished Graduate Associate Teaching Award, the highest recognition of the exceptional teaching awarded to graduate students at the university. Along with Dean Osmer's letter and certificate from today Bora will also receive a sizable cash award.
The award is very competitive. Of the approximately 3,000 GTAs in campus that can be compete about 200 were nominated. 70 of the eligible nominees submitted an application portfolio of which only 10 eventually won the award.
We are proud to have an excellent teacher like Bora among our GTAs. Please join us in congratualting him for this extraoridnary distinction.
