Foundations of Higher Mathematics

GENERAL INFORMATION

In Math 345 we are using Falkner’s book  The Fundamentals of Higher Mathematics (Spring 2010 version), which is available from the SBX, Barnes & Noble, and University Bookstores.

In the syllabus, each week of the quarter has, among its assigned homework, three homework problem numbers marked by asterisks. These are the problems that have to be turned in for credit. Every Monday, starting April 5th, I will collect in class the solutions of the three asterisk-marked problems assigned in the preceding week.

Each of the three problems will be graded with a maximum of ten points. Partial credit will be given wherever appropriate, and errors will be marked in red.
