Course Description
See the syllabus. Math 132 is administered via Carmen. I will post the grades there. If you find any error in your grade, please contact me. The course homepage can be found at http://www.math.ohio-state.edu/courses/132 .
The textbook is Introduction to Mathematical Analysis, 3rd OSU custom edition. Some of you might have the old edition, but this quarter you MUST use the new edition. If you come from Math 131 last quarter, it is the same book, otherwise you HAVE to buy the new book.
Recitation
Your weekly homework assignments are listed on the syllabus. You are expected to complete each assignment but they will not collected. These assignments will help you understand the knowledge well.
You will have 11 online homework assignments on My Math Lab. They are to be completed by the deadline noted on the syllabus. The ten best scores will be counted for a total of 50 points. Notice: MML will let the students work on a particular question only a couple of times before it gives them the answer. If the students hit the "similar question" button, they can work on a similar question, and if they get that right, then that question will be counted as correctly done.
There will be a total of six quizzes. The five best scores will be counted for a total of 50 points.
The room assignment and some information for the exams will be posted on the course homepage, on Carmen and announced in class the week before exam.
At the exam, make sure that there is a seat between each student. Please bring your Buck ID, TA may check the ID of any student according to the university policy. Please remember: you, as a student, MAY NOT USE YOUR OWN SCRAP PAPER. When you receive the exam paper, it should be alternating to your neighbors, and you should fill in your information (please write down your FULL NAME) on the cover sheet BUT NOT to begin the exam until told to. Permission to take the make-up exam is to be ONLY given by the lecturer.
